Plant stem cells are innately undifferentiated cells located in meristems of plant and serve as the origin of plant vitality, as they maintain themselves while providing a steady supply of precursor cells to form differentiated tissues and organ in the plant. The two different areas of stem cells are apical meristems and lateral meristern. The different properties of plant stem cells are ability to create all differentiated cell types and ability to self-renew such that the number of stem cell is maintained.
