Syeda Sohaila Naz received her PhD degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from University of Peshawar, Pakistan in 2013. During her PhD studies, she was awarded Indigenous 5000 PhD scholarship by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. Before joining NCP in July 2017, she worked at different research organizations and universities including Women University Swabi, National Agriculture Centre, Islamabad, Atomic Energy Cancer Hospital NORI, Islamabad and Islamia College University Peshawar. Being part of research industry, she is highly enthusiastic to add value of pharmaceutical industries, by sharing her expertise in chemical research focusing Nanomedicine, which is no doubt an emerging field of science. She is working on the synthesis and functionalization of nanoparticles for use as targeted drug delivery (anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, anti-ulcer, antihemorrhagic), photodynamic therapy, contrasting agents in CT scan and photothermal therapy. She has published 08 research papers in international journals with cumulative impact factor of 24. She is involved in peer review of various impact factor research journals. She is working as editorial member of four international journals. She has supervised five MPhil scholars. She has taught courses in general organic chemistry, synthetic organic chemistry, natural product chemistry, photochemistry and organic spectroscopy.
