I have the experience of being first on-call from working in a busy Orthopaedic department. I have learnt to think quickly on my feet and prioritize. I run fracture clinics and shoulder clinics under consultant supervision and I have learnt the different ways various type of fractures are treated. I have been involved in managing patients on the ward and I understand how a strong knowledge of medicine helps in patient management either before or after surgery.
