Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus

Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus is also known as Type 1 diabetes or insulin-dependent diabetes or juvenile diabetes .Type 1 diabetes usually occurs in childhood, adolescence or early adulthood. It’s the condition when pancreas produces too little insulin or no insulin. The capacity to produce insulin by pancreas is reduced than the body is not able to metabolize blood glucose to use for efficient energy and toxic acids (ketoacids) are building up in the body which leads to genetic predisposition to type1 diabetes. The symptoms are thirst, hunger, frequent urination and weight loss.Type1 diabetes leads to blindness, kidney failure, extensive nerve damage and accelerated atherosclerosis.
